I'M scared; YOU'RE afraid:
A non-poem of equality
3/17/26
I'm scared,
You're afraid,
The man is afraid..
-------------------of what you may do,
white man----------of what you may take
native man---------of what is to come
black man---------I love very hot chile...
Asian man---------I am scared..
eastern man--------of uniformed storm troopers banging on my door
mid-eastern man----of leaving my children alone
-------------------of never again seeing my home.
I love watching NFL football...
You are afraid..
--------------of being unemployed
--------------of not having a home
--------------of losing your country
I can't sing like Jesus but I can cry like the devil...
I am scared..
-----------that you can't see me
-----------that you refuse to see my children
-----------that I make you afraid
I scare you,
You scare me,
We like NFL football..
We know Jesus..
We have more in common than the difference of skin.
Peace

This was so profound and held so much truth. Well done!
