Today might be the day
to shake everything up.
I’m so far off-kilter
that I can’t correct myself.
I’ll just take this world,
give it a good, solid shake,
tip the axis a little to the left of right,
make the stars twinkle midday
while the sun shines under a river at night.
Who knows, maybe off-kilter is better
than whatever dystopian pose we’re currently striking
Madness is the answer.
Who gives a damn what the question was?
