There’s a big storm brewing today

Going to be a big one, so they say

A reformed cyclone from up the coast

That's where the damage was the most

Went back out to sea and reformed

The news feeds us all, “You’ve been warned”

Take shelter and don’t go out in this storm.

There’s a storm brewing today

You can sense the quiet and eerie way

I can see it moving in across the way

The sea is grey, the sky is black,

We are right in the middle of its track

I’ll hole up and stay inside

My two little dogs will go and hide.

The rain pours down onto the ground

The noise it makes, a relentless sound

As the clouds just overflow

When will it stop? We do not know

Over a hundred mm, so they say

We’ll stay inside. No walks today

And my girls (dogs) can’t go out to play.

There’s a big storm that started today

I love the rain in a weird way

The wind is picking up, the ocean is rough

Nature will decide when we have had enough

The ground is dry, no rain at all for weeks

But now the storm begins to peak

There’s a big storm brewing today.
