Worry it’s part of being human

Some don’t worry about tomorrow

They live for today

πŸ€”πŸ™„πŸ€”πŸ™„

I try to practice mindfulness

So, I don’t worry about tomorrow

Lol, I already have a to do list for tomorrow today

πŸ™„πŸ€”πŸ™„πŸ€”

Can you imagine if I don’t meditate

I will still be thinking about tomorrow

I watch the news so I can make plans for tomorrow

πŸ€”πŸ™„πŸ€”πŸ™„

Keep practicing mindfulness girly

Keep meditating

What going on in this moment

πŸ€”πŸ™„πŸ€”πŸ™„

Say a prayer to take care

Try affirmation to calm that mind

What’s your distraction about thinking about tomorrow?

πŸ€”πŸ™„πŸ€”πŸ™„

Singing a song won’t hurt

Writing a story

Reading a book

What’s your tool from thinking about tomorrow?

performance poetry

It does have a nasty way of sneaking through whatever mindfulness barriers we put up.

At night, I write a list for the next day. And then I do a breathing thing as I drop off to sleep, and tell myself very firmly, that I let go of all the shit I didn't do today, and tomorrow is going to be great and everything is going to be productive and successful and go off without a hitch. 😁

Great job Mariann! Scriptures, Doll Therapy & anything mentally stimulating help chase my worries away!😊

It depends on what tomorrow has in store. But for the most part, I really stay present in the day. I worry more about future that’s my issue. But with the use of meditation, my art, drawing, my husband and dogs it helps me to stay present. οΏΌ

Yep some days it is easier to do than others. But the distractions you mentioned like reading a good book and meditation are ones I often try. ☺️

  • I worry about everything; past, present and the future. I even worry about worrying! 🀣🀣🀣🀣 Loved your poem!

  • Excellent poem and I was there with my colleagues every Sunday in my last job

Haha, the list part made me laugh. Same.

This is especially difficult on a Sunday. I’ve ruined many Sundays by stressing about the week ahead.

Same. I also write parody and satire to cope.
