The 2026 Major League Baseball season has finally begun. 2026 will mark the Rangers 66th year as a franchise and the 55th season in Arlington. The history of the Rangers dates back to 1961 when they were known as the Washington Senators for a decade before moving to Arlington in the Spring of 1972. For nearly 60 years, the Rangers have played at Arlington Stadium and The Ballpark in Arlington before moving into their current home, Globe Life Field in 2020. In this story, I'll be going over some of my favorite Rangers uniforms that captured my attention. I wrote a story last year about my favorite Rangers jerseys that I highlighted. You can read the full story in the link down below. The following entries are not in any particular order.

The mid-2000s home white vest is one of the Rangers uniforms that desperately needs a comeback. It was introduced in 2004. On the top right side of the jersey is the red Texas "T" and the player's number on the bottom left. The organization should make the players wear these at least twice a season.

I didn't become a Rangers fan until 2001, but the home whites of the 1990s with Rangers in red script are among one of my favorites. Not only that, the new logo at the time on the right sleeve. These were in existence from 1994 to 2000. This definitely needs a comeback and to be made a permanent addition among the other uniforms.

Sticking to the 90s theme, I'm in love with these uniforms, which made its debut in 1995 and were available until 1999. It has Texas in red script with the Rangers logo on the right sleeve. Sometimes I wonder why the organization keeps shelving the best uniforms.

I had to include this uniform on this list for a special reason. The Rangers had a magical 2023 season, which included capturing their first World Series title in franchise history. For the 2024 MLB regular season, they wore their gold-trimmed World Series Champions uniforms. If you've began watching baseball recently or just became a fan of your favorite team, when a team wins a World Series title, one of the perks they have is donning gold-inspired uniforms the following MLB regular season with a patch on the sleeve on their jersey indicating that they're World Series Champions. This tradition began in the 2010s and it's been as such ever since. The San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals were the first two teams and early adopters to have gold-themed uniforms and hats. Going back to this Rangers unform, shown above is World Series champion Josh Jung posing next to the World Series trophy, wearing the aforementioned uniform. It reads Rangers in blue script and has a gold outline to go along with it. The player's last names with their jersey numbers are as follows: they're both blue with a nice pattern on the inside of the jersey number, along with gold and red outlines. Finally, a patch on the right sleeve of the jersey that reads World Series Champions 2023 with the trophy on top, the word Champions in gold script, and the Texas "T" between the 20 and 23. The Rangers worn these uniforms a dozen times during the 2024 regular season.

Jonah Heim is a World Series champion and while he's now with the Atlanta Braves, the Rangers grey road unis, which were released in 2014, he looked great in it. It has Texas in blue script, along with red outlines. The uniform stands out well and has been a mainstay with the organization for over a decade.

Next up, we have these blue uniforms with Texas in white script and red outlines. Just like the previous entry, these were released in 2014 and still worn by the players today. Oh, and a Texas flag is displayed on the right sleeve. My favorite color is blue, so a blue Rangers jersey and a red Rangers hat go well together in my opinion.

For the final entry on this list, this uniform is the definition of respecting the past. Rangers legend and Baseball Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan is seen wearing the home white uniforms, which were introduced back in 1984. It has Rangers in blue cursive script with a red outline. The jersey number is blue with red outlines. These were worn by players until 1993. Ryan retired from baseball the following year at the age of 47.

The Texas Rangers will release the design for their new City Connect uniforms and make its debut sometime during the regular season. Their previous ones, which debuted in 2023, were discontinued following the conclusion of the 2025 regular season. The Rangers should do a yearly throwback night on the first Friday home game of every month during the regular season where the players wear a uniform from a previous decade. My personal favorite the organization needs to bring back are the 1995 road grey uniforms with Texas in red script and the Texas Rangers Baseball Club patch on the right sleeve.

Another uniform the Rangers should consider is the 1962 Washington Senators uniforms (shown above) with Senators in red lettering. Many fans may not have known that a decade before the team we know today as the Texas Rangers, they were known as the Washington Senators from 1961 to 1971. I propose that the organization would think about reviving it. That would introduce fans who didn't know that fact by players wearing that uniform. My fellow Rangers fans should consider learning more about the history of the Senators. Hopefully, the new City Connect uniforms are nicer than their previous one. Nostalgia is a big deal to us Rangers fans and although we've seen older uniforms being worn by players for the past decade, they're only worn on rare occasions.

Rangers fans and baseball fans, what are some of your favorite uniforms of the ball club? Which one would you like to see the Rangers bring back?
