Faaborg

Christiansfeld is located in the southern Jutland region and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage town. It is a well-preserved Moravian town and the birthplace of Danish gingerbread.

The charming coastal town of Dragør is just a day trip away from Copenhagen. Enjoy strolling the cobblestone streets of the Old Town.

At the harbor you can explore Skurbyen, a row of old fishing huts.

In the summertime you can swim at Sobadet, the local bathing facility, and enjoy the soft sand at Mormorstranden.

See the Gasrepublikken, or Goose Republic, traditional duck pens, and continue exploring this natural area with rich birdlife.

Visit Endelave, the rabbit island, due to the large population of wild rabbits. It is home to a small village and some scattered farms surrounded by heather, moorland, beach meadow, and oak forests. The rabbits usually appear at sunset and sunrise. You can go horseback riding on the beach and hike the 21 km route, Kaninoen, around the entire island.

Faaborg is a 17th-century port town. It lies in the rolling countryside on the south coast of Fyn (pictured above)

The buildings surround the sculpture Ymerbronden, on the town square.

The Bell Tower is a landmark left over from the old St. Nikolajs Church, demolished in the middle of the 16th century.

Gudhjem lies on the rocky coast of the Baltic Sea. It is among the most popular summer spots. The picturesque holiday town has quaint alleyways. Gudhjem is an atmospheric fishing community of half-timbered houses and winding streets, located on Denmark's Baltic island, Bornholm.

Hornbaek is located in North Zealand and known as the Danish Riviera. It is a seaside town and resort. There is a white sandy shoreline and dunes. The town has a natural harbor.

The Horbaek Plantation on the outskirts of town offers natural beauty to explore.

A charming rural town, Mariager is called the City of Roses, dating back to the 15th century. The town has beautiful rose bushes that add color to the timber homes and cobblestone streets.

Visitors enjoy riding the Mariager-Handest Vintage Railway.

The city is filled with gardens and parks; trees flank the major roads, and the Odense River snakes its way through the city center of Odense.

Childhood home

This is the hometown of Hans Christian Andersen (1805–1875), one of Denmark's most cherished authors and among the most famous storytellers in history. His fairy tales have been translated into over 125 languages.

In Munkemøllestræde, close to the Odense Cathedral, the river, and the Fairytale Garden, you will find the little yellow half-timbered house where Hans Christian Andersen lived with his parents from the age of 2 to 14.

Odense Cathedral

The town of Praesto sits in the Danish countryside. It has cobbled streets around the town square and is an old market town.

Rich in history, Ribe is the oldest town in Denmark.

From this town, you can visit the Wadden Sea National Park. Enjoy hiking, biking, or driving.

In the South Fyn Archipelago is the lovely town of Rudkobing. It is known for being the birthplace of the Danish Game of Thrones actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (aka Jaime Lannister).

At the very north of Denmark is the seaside town of Skagen.

Discover Grenen, where the Skagerrak and Kattegat meet to create an iconic natural scene.

Enjoy strolling in the forests of Klitplantagen.

Visit Rabjerg Mile, the largest migrating dune in the country.
