1. Engage you
2. Entertain you
3. At least make you smile (Omar's Diaries) or
4. Think about this crazy world we live in and

From my desk 6th November 2020
Last week a picture of Nigel Farrage appeared on various social media platforms. Nothing unusual about that as the man thrives on publicity, of any sort. This one picture showed him in Washington DC proudly displaying a betting slip purporting to confirm he had placed $10,000 of his children’s inheritance on Donald Trump to win a second term at odds of 15/8. As I am writing this on Friday evening (6th November 2020) that bet is not looking too good.

Life to 23rd October 2020
To say it has been a bit of week so far would be a gross understatement. Last Thursday, 15th October, one of our horses (Benney caricatured in the header picture) came into the yard with a cut on one of his fetlocks and was lame. Then on Saturday Bryn came in with a fresh cut on one of his fetlocks and lame. We cleaned him up and kept him in overnight. By now Benney had been stable kept for three nights to give the wound a chance to heal. It was getting better. On Sunday morning we pulled Bryn out to be groomed. Poor old lad, he could only walk on three legs.

Travels of a War Bride. Top Story - October 2020.
INTRODUCTION There were approximately 48,000 British women who fell in love with and married service men from around the world during and after World War II. All of them have their own deeply personal stories. Some were both happy and some tragic. None of those 48,000 stories could have been more deeply personal than the story of my own parents which, fortunately in my case, turned out very happy.

Omar's Diary for July 2020
A most difficult and stressful month Thursday 9th July 2020 Man Servant made himself very busy in the garage this morning. There was much bumping, thumping and grunting as he moved things around trying to create some space and order. I was rather hoping he was arranging it so that the “red thing” could be put away at night rather than being left on the driveway.

Omar's Diary to 17th April 2020
Monday 6th April 2020 Man Servant and I celebrated our birthdays today. We are what are referred to as “birthday twins” but I hasten to add that any “twinning” refers only to the day and the month but not to the year. No one in Omar Towers is as old as Man Servant.

It shows over 5 years where a country has been ranked by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) in terms of press freedom against other countries A green bar shows improvement year on year and a red bar shows deterioration. Hold that image and read on.
