The heartbreaking hits keep on coming this year. On Sunday, August 3, 2025, we lost an iconic name in TV and in cinema, as Loni Anderson passed away at the age of 79. Anderson did so much in TV and film, with her greatest claim to fame being the hit sitcom, WKRP in Cincinnati, where she shined as bombshell Jennifer Marlowe--a role she briefly reprised years later in The New WKRP in Cincinnati. Anderson appeared on several different TV series such as Police Woman, Barnaby Jones, Three's Company, Sabrina the Teenage Witch (as one of Sabrina's country witch cousins), and V.I.P. (as the mother of Pamela Anderson's central character).

"Beyond the Gates" Week 22 Review
Beyond the Gates continues to shine as part of CBS' daytime lineup, without question. In the East Coast, the show airs at 2PM, but here in the West Coast, it's a 1PM airing, but regardless, the rookie soap has gained so much press, acclaim, and excellent attention. The show has been on for just over five months, and as I've said many, many times, this was the soap we need. It's a breath of fresh air compared to all of the other soaps--past and present.

We have now reached the month of August, which is preseason month in the NFL, as well as the final full month before the regular season starts. CFL Week 8 Recap: Still Own the Bombers
The 2025 CFL season now enters what I call the heart of the schedule, that middle seven weeks before things get serious. This part of the season begins with Week 8 and tails off with their annual Labour Day Weekend matchups, and after Week 14, that's when things get very interesting. Week 8 started off in Calgary, as the Stampeders hosted the Montréal Alouettes in a battle of teams on strong starts. The Stamps entered the fourth with a lead, but the Als took it, 23-21, as they attempt to keep pace with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Eastern Division.

Rating the "Tori Episodes" of "Saved by the Bell"
Among the many things that fascinate me about Saved by the Bell is the fact that the show, in its many forms, has "themed" episodes. We all know the themes. The series started with a theme: Good Morning, Miss Bliss. We're also familiar with the "Malibu Sands" episodes; the six episodes from Season Three where the group worked at the Malibu Sands resort. Even New Class, which aired from 1993 until 2000, had some themed episodes. But we all know what the most known themed group of episodes was, and how this came to be wasn't exactly pretty.

It's on the horizon, folks. The National Football League's 106th season is almost here, and it's time to talk about possibilities for the 2025 season. 32 teams, eight divisions of four teams each. "Beyond the Gates" Week 21 Review
It all finally came out during the twentieth week of Beyond the Gates; the very thing that had been plaguing Martin Richardson for two years was finally unveiled: ugly detail after ugly detail. One has to believe that the fallout would be immense, heartwrenching, explosive, you name it. So many questions would be asked. Some people wouldn't like the answers. Such is life when everything's out in the open.

Reviewing the Long-Awaited "Happy Gilmore 2"
My name is Clyde E. Dawkins. The "E" stands for Earl, my actual middle name. Though as I love to say, my middle name is patience. I've been accustomed to waiting a long time for things I've wanted to see so badly. I waited 15 years for a pennant. I waited 21 years for a Stanley Cup. And added to that list: I waited 29 years for a sequel to an iconic comedy classic.

A Look at 2025's Holiday NFL Games
The 2025 NFL season is closing in, folks! We are six weeks away from the regular season, and the annual Hall of Fame Game--the first preseason game of the year--is a week away! I had said before that when it comes to discussing the 2025 schedule, I was doing something different: dividing them into parts. First off, I wrote about what has been the most important part of the schedule in the last two decades, Sunday Night Football. This was followed by a piece about Thursday Night Football, as well as my story about the international games. For this story, we will look into this year's holiday games; the games that will take place on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Christmas.

It seems like yesterday that I was waiting patiently for the start of the 2025 CFL season. Now here we are, approaching the one-third mark of this season. Week 7 kicked off with Part II of the 2025 season series between the Toronto Argonauts and the Montréal Alouettes. The first meeting took place in Week 1, and it was a bad day in the office for the defending champs.

"Beyond the Gates" Week 20 Review
Patience is a virtue, and I'm speaking as someone who waited 21 years for a Stanley Cup. So the 20th week of CBS' relatively new soap, Beyond the Gates, finally delivered something we had all been waiting weeks for. As a result, this review will be different. Normally, it would have been about a specific highlight from each of the episodes from that week, in this case, the episodes airing between July 14 and July 18. But regarding Week 20, there was only one true highlight overall that week, and we know what that is. So this week's review will only focus on the ultimate reveal that took place.

Top 10 Most Astounding Sports Droughts
As the saying goes, "You win some, and you lose some." Such is life in sports. However, some teams do a lot of winning. There's a current NFL dynasty in Kansas City, Florida's two NHL teams have been in the Cup Final every year in this decade, and won four of those times. The Golden State Warriors had a recent string of championships in the NBA, and baseball has the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees among the ultimate "haves."
