Disability
Many people seem to think that being on SSDI is a vacation. These people have no idea how wrong they are. I have been on SSDI for ten years now. It's not a picnic or walk in the park. People have said I am lucky. I am anything but lucky. I have severe fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, heart issues and spinal issues due to a car accident 27 years ago.

Top 6 Tips For Cancer Patients And Chemotherapy Beginners
Cancer is a very scary word. It is the disease that most people fear the most, and know the less about. If there is something that we all do know about cancer is that getting rid of it is not easy at all. The treatment in most cases is worse then the disease, and the part that people dread the most about it.

Migraines
As a migraine sufferer, I have been told by my doctor to look out for my triggers (the things that cause me to have a migraine for those who don't know). He gave me a list of things to avoid and to make sure I'm doing so that I don't have to suffer as often. He told me that things like wine and chocolate can be triggers, (I'm already allergic to chocolate now it can cause me to have crippling headaches too?! How is this fair?) to make sure I drink plenty of water and get enough sleep and to cut back on the caffeine. So I began trying to make sure I stay hydrated, this has proven difficult as I also have the short term memory of a gnat so I forget to drink anything let alone water. I tried to make sure I got enough sleep, as it turns out this is actually one of my triggers. I can almost guarantee that if I don't get enough sleep for about two to three days a migraine will follow, but this is also something I struggle with as I have a really hard time staying asleep. The last thing though has been the most difficult of all. CAFFEINE. I have had a caffeine addiction for longer than some young adults have been alive and seeing as I'm only 29, that's saying something. I have been drinking coffee every morning since I was about 8 years old, give or take a few years. That is close to 20 years of drinking a coffee every morning and that isn't including the sodas I used to drink daily and the extra cups of coffee I'd drink just because I wanted it. So I went about bringing down the amount of caffeine I consumed in a day. The first thing I did was cut out sodas and had to teach myself to drink water instead. I use to hate drinking water but now it's my go-to drink choice. Then I started decreasing how many cups of coffee I drank in a day. I'm down to a single cup a day, two if it's a weekend and I feel like treating myself. I still get migraines of course but they aren't as bad or as frequent as the initial one that sent me to my doctor in the first place (it lasted for a whole week!) So if you are also a migraine suffer, first and foremost I feel your pain, and second not knowing your triggers is like playing Rusian roulette.

Wristy Business
I know a lot of trainers and fitness gurus come along and try to flip the script, tell you their super-secret unconventional/controversial training methods or regime that will make you 1,000,000 times more attractive and ripped in a matter of weeks; I'm not here to do that. I'm actually not gonna disagree with anybody outright or try to over haul anything. The plan here is to add to everyone else's work; I'm not the protein shake trying to replace the workout, I'm the supplements ready to give you a fully balanced diet with complete nutrition.

Finding Myself
Hello there! You’re probably wondering what a person who’s “finding themselves” can tell to someone who’s already established, but if i could have just a few minutes of your spare time I’d love to share my thoughts on said subject.....so here it goes. We won’t go back to childhood or teen years(I’d be writing all night if i did) so we’ll start with early adulthood. Have you ever stopped and just wondered to yourself “what is it exactly that i want in life?” Well I’ve been there too many times to count! But in my earlier 20’s, i only wanted one thing....freedom. Freedom from emotional stress, physical pains, mental breakdowns, spiritual bondage, financial strain, intellectual inabilities. It was pretty bad. And at some point i felt i could or should just try and tackle everything all at once so i can be happy and have minimum worries. Well that led to a series of mental and emotional traumas that became too much for me to handle on my own. Of course I sought help and assistance where it given and offered, but i still felt incomplete! So i began moving around a lot in search of my genuine happiness and guess what? I had to lose everything i had in my attempts of rushing to my happiness in or order for me to sit down and actually THINK about what it is I really want in life. When you’re soul searching, so much goes into it from moving to the right location, being around the right kind of people, having the right accommodations. I know it sounds like “oh she wants everything to be perfect and that’s impossible” but think about it. If you really want peace, happiness, freedom, and your own means of life wouldn’t being properly accommodated make that so much easier? Well, I’ve made a list which I add to weekly or monthly in the things i need to accomplish and aquire to get to where I’m going. Sometimes I’m able to mark things off pretty quickly feeling very productive and accomplished. But then i become content and lose sight of the bigger picture to my long term goals and things start slipping from the foundation up. Not this time tho. This time I won’t stop until I have everything I ever dreamed of, if i have to cross a couple of oceans to get to my dreams that’s exactly what I’ll do! My life lessons have been to love myself first, take care of me before trying to pull others along for the ride, enjoy the small things i do have, when red flags appear take heed instead of being soooo optimistic,& focus and determination gets you a lot further then taking giant leaps of faith every single time!

Living With Stage 4 Cirrhosis
I walked into the doctor's office to get the results of my biopsy, blood work, ultasound, and fibroscan nearly a year ago. At that time I had fatty liver disease and fibrosis of the liver. I didn't expect any dramatic changes because I felt fine at the time, nothing seemed drastically wrong. I left my husband outside in the van cause he hates sitting in the doctor's office. My name was called and I was led to a very nice room to await the doctor.

How to Quit Smoking Cold Turkey: Saved by the Power of Sudoku
Before telling you how my wife quit cold turkey, I need to tell you just a little bit about her story. I told my wife that she was killing me slowly often, but that was not a good enough reason for her to stop lighting up. Her smoking didn't put me off from dating her when we were younger, however it did put a damper on me wanting to be around her when she did. You see, I have a history of bronchitis issues and asthma. When we moved to North Carolina, I found that I had added severe allergies to the list of problems I with which I had to suffer. Mine is so bad that I could sneeze through paint on a wall. Winters are especially rough with me as it was often too cold for her to take her cigarettes outside.
