Energy sap is so insidious.

Breathing hot, humid air is torturous
With each feeble gasp, my temper does fray
Living in a sauna is hideous.

I’m not alone… others aren’t impervious
The dog chases a cat… both walk all the way
Energy sap is so insidious.

Forget sun-baking! Just ridiculous!
Skin cancer’s much too high a price to pay
Living in a sauna is hideous.

Sweat rivulets become malodorous
Merely existing on a sultry day
Energy sap is so insidious.

What folly to brook life so piteous
Escape becomes dire… anywhere, someway!
