Why Do We Give Up On Ourselves?
One of the attributes that sets us apart from every other living creature is the ability to formulate and execute long term goals that fulfill our passions and desires. So why do precious few of us ever see our goals come to fruition? What keeps us from doing the things we really want? I have come to believe the answer to that question, more often than not, is self-sabotage. I am sure that many of us have experienced this: you have a goal or a dream, and before you know it, you are no longer confident in your ability to see it through. We convince ourselves that our dreams are unachievable. But why? Perhaps my personal experience with this will offer some helpful insight. I would like to explore this topic in greater depth in the future, but I suppose you have to start somewhere.

How to Overcome Burnout Syndrome
"It's not something you notice all of a sudden. It is a process that develops little by little. It starts with the bewilderment of not knowing what is happening to him, this difficulty getting out of bed and going to work. You don't rest at night because your head gets tangled up with work problems. Start being pessimistic. He sees things worse than they really are, and what was once mere inconveniences have become major problems. All this puts you in a bad mood, and the people around you pay. Little by little, you isolate yourself, your personal self-esteem collapses, and you begin to doubt even your own professional abilities."

Attention Deficit Disorder & Me
I am one of the lucky girls with ADHD who was diagnosed very early on in life. My mother (a teacher) was relentless when it came to finding out what was “wrong” with me. When I was underachieving in middle school, she had my IQ tested. When it came back far above average, she commenced on an expedition that led to doctor after doctor trying to “fix” my problems with daydreaming, procrastination and staying organized.

My New Year's Resolutions
I have many New Year’s resolutions for myself, but unlike many of my peers, mine are all about keeping my mind and/or my body relaxed and happy. The first one is technically regarding how my resolutions are made: instead of a big goal, I’m going the more relaxing route of utilizing simple, small goals that add up to big changes! For the purpose of this article, we'll count that as a how and not as the first goal. lol

Can A Dream Tell Us The Future
Much has been written regarding dreams and their meanings or purpose. Mankind has been fascinated with our dreams since the first dreamer awoke and wondered about what their visions meant. Since ancient times we have looked to our dreams to find signs of what our future holds. The first written dreams we know of were in 4000 BC. The earliest writings we have on dreams are primarily texts on their religious and spiritual significance.
